To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

AKA. Me.

I'm Meg. Lover of art, Photography, and things that make my heart sing.

I'm married to my BFF. That's him over there in the photo. He's pretty awesome. I think I'll keep him for like, MEH, 60 or so more years?  One of the reasons for this whole photography love is him. He bought me my first DSLR when our first little dude came home and encouraged and supported anything and everything I told him I wanted to do with it. He allows me to be ME. And all the craziness that comes along with that.

Most of my days are spent feeding boys. Literally. All. The. Food. And I only have 3. What the heck?!

But for real. My family is awesome. We love spending time together, hanging out, and exploring new things. We kind of have this dream bubbling up currently about taking off and traveling the country in our camper...

If  I'm not taking photos or sitting at my computer editing, I'm probably reading or painting something.

I love Jesus. Without him I'd be a huge mess of brokenness. But even in my mess I'm good because I'm His.

Those are my men. Like I said. They're pretty cool.

The little dudes are the best kids ever. We love that we get to spend our days with them.

The blonde one is super extroverted... which is funny because his mom is a big ole introvert. All he wants in life is to be with people he loves.

The curly one is fierce in everything he does. He loves fierce and fights like a champ. And he's going to be bigger than all of us in the 4th grade.

If you come to our home you better arm yourself or be prepared to be attacked with NERF bullets. For real. And if you actually DO arm yourself they'll love you forever and ever.

They're all boy and I wouldn't have it any other way.

A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.

I love taking photographs. Especially ones that tell my story. My family's story. The story of the world going on around me. I want my kids to remember who they are, and that identity stems from where they came from. I want them to be able to look back on our family photos and FEEL who they are and where they came from. FEEL the memories. I want them to remember their lives and their family and their friends, and me, their mom.

That's what photos do for me. They make me FEEL the memories. When I look back at our old family albums I am transported back in space and time to the actual moment happening. I know the sights, sounds, and smells. All this from a photograph.

I want my family to be able to feel their memories this way.

And I also want YOU to be able to look back on your story and feel the memories. This is what I do. I help people document their stories. Their memories. Their lives.
